Historically, when an board meeting falls on a national holiday, we move it to another day.

Museum bylaws require that our Officers be election at the June board meeting. Officer's terms are 1-year long. There are four officer positions: President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. In order to be nominated as an officer, you must first be elected onto the board of directors.

Open to all members. Following the meeting, Valerie will give us a personal tour of the distillery.

We drove by 5th & Cherry today, to see if the Obermann brewery empty lot had any activity. Doesn't seem to be anything but empty weeds there. Next we drove a block away and snapped a photo of the old EL Husting building. EL stands for Eugene Louis. The brewery opened in the 1870s if I remember, although I was very young. Its a couple of blocks away from the Brewery Credit Union, and a few more away from Pabst. The building is occupied by an advertising agency today.

Relive the past of one of Milwaukee's historic breweries. The Goethe House WI and the Museum of Beer and Brewing invite you to the former Blatz Brewery building, now the Alumni Partnership Center of the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

Mr Gary Luther will present a talk "Blatz: I'm from Milwaukee..."

Mr. Luther is a founding member and past president of the Museum of Beer & Brewing. He earned his engineering  in brewing diploma in Munchen, and worked in Germany, Brazil, and the United States.

Members will vote on officer elections. 5 Officers are elected for a 3-year term.
