Join the Museum of Beer & Brewing and the late Karl Strauss as we raise our glasses and toast the 2008 recipients of the 4th Annual Karl Strauss Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Beer & Brewing Industry.
The Board of Directors will present family representatives Ron and Bill Siebel with the prestigious award on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at the Wisconsin Club in Milwaukee.
Ron and Bill represent the fourth generation of the Siebel Family to have operated the company founded in 1872, by J. E. Siebel. Dr. Siebel settled in Chicago after arriving in the United States from Germany. Dr. Siebel opened a brewing school that is still going strong today. Over its long history the courses have changed and the Siebel Institute of Technology now offers a diploma course in brewing. It is the oldest brewing school in the country.
